Not necessarily. When applying, we accept high-quality snapshots — ideally a mix of headshots and full-body images for review.
Once registered, however, we strongly recommend creating a professional profile with polished photographs to best present you to clients.
Successful models are punctual, adaptable, confident, well-presented, and consistently reliable. Strong communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to take direction gracefully are just as important as your look.
No experience is required. We welcome new faces and fresh energy.
Yes — many of our models successfully balance modelling with school, work, or other commitments.
For children and character models, this is typically part-time.
That said, flexibility is important, as some castings or shoots may be scheduled at short notice or during weekdays.
This is a highly competitive industry. Some shoots book multiple people, but many roles are limited to just one booking — and the final decision is always made by the client. We don’t influence who gets selected, but we consistently present you professionally for the right opportunities.
TV clients always book full days. Photographic clients may book half or full days, but delays (e.g. weather or technical issues) can extend the time. We advise all models to remain available for the full day.
Castings can happen any day of the week. Children’s castings are usually after school; adult castings may be during the day. Shoots can occur at any time — including early mornings or night shoots. If you’re only available on weekends, unfortunately we won’t be able to represent you.
We’ll confirm shoot details the day before your booking, once the client finalises the schedule. Occasionally we receive info earlier, and we’ll notify you as soon as we do.
Failing to attend castings or submit self-tape auditions for which you were selected can negatively impact your future opportunities. Clients may record such instances as “no-shows” and take them into account when selecting talent for upcoming projects.
Communication, commitment, and flexibility. Check messages regularly, keep your profile updated, and be ready when opportunities arise.
No. You can only be signed with one agent at a time to avoid confusion and contractual issues.
No. While we actively promote our talent and submit them for castings, final selections are made by clients. Your availability, responsiveness, and professionalism all play a role—but bookings can never be guaranteed.
Clients deduct 25% PAYE from your fee. Since 1 March 2010, all models — regardless of age or income — must have a SARS income tax reference number.
All individuals—adults and children—must hold a valid South African ID or Passport, a valid Work Permit (if not South African), and a registered Tax Number. Compliance with these legal requirements is mandatory and non-negotiable.
